
The first Brevet of Punjab, titled ‘PSK Fields of Warriors,’ unfolded in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, marking the birthplace of a cycling legacy captivated the nation’s attention. Organized without political influence, it laid the foundation for a decade of cycling glory. The route, aptly named ‘Fields of Warriors,’ paid homage to the aspirations of youngsters aiming to join the Indian Army. The ride, starting from Takshila School in Hoshiarpur, covered key locations like Dasuya, Hajipur, Talwara, Sansarpur Terrace, Baba Ghati, and back, with some riders extending to Pong Dam for its scenic beauty. Checkpoints offered refreshments, and the beats of dhol-playing artists filled the air, encouraging spontaneous dancing.
