1. The National Level cyclist:
Shaurya Thakur created History by becoming National Level Professional Cyclist. He won Silver medal in 2019 at Pune in the Track Race. His family has been supportive right from the beginning when he was in the fifth standard.
2. Punjab Bikers Club (PBC) has the legacy to bulid a culture of group rides, fun rides, picnic rides, festive rides:
PBC has a rich history of creating a cycling community through exhilarating group rides. These rides are not just about the pedals; they are about the shared joy of exploration. Our riders have collectively discovered new routes in and around Hoshiarpur and across the beautiful state of Punjab, creating unforgettable memories along the way.Taking a step beyond traditional cycling experiences, PBC initiated picnic rides to involve families in the joy of biking. Families join our riders in their vehicles, embarking on journeys to picturesque destinations where they spend quality time together. These rides have become a cornerstone of our community, creating lasting bonds and memories. We even celebrate festivals like Holi during these rides, adding a festive flair to our cycling adventures
3. Promoted Hoshiarpur as the ‘City of Lakes’ rather than using the term check dams:
Promoted Hoshiarpur as the ‘City of Lakes’ rather than using the term check dams On weekends, PBC riders embark on explorations around the lakes near Hoshiarpur, navigating through charming villages and lush jungles. These rides are a testament to our commitment to discovering the natural beauty that Punjab offers, all while enjoying the freedom of two wheels.
4. PBC created the culture of long-distance cycling in the region Punjab since 2014 :
PBC created the culture of long-distance cycling in the region Punjab since 2014. The Randonneuring and Ultra Racing in North India originated from PBC in Hoshiarpur.

First Brevet of Patiala organized by PBC on 7th December, 2014
First Brevet of Jalandhar organized by PBC on 15th Feb 2015
First Brevet of Ludhiana organized by PBC on 12th April,2015
First Brevet of Chandigarh organized by PBC on 29th March, 2015
First Night Brevet of Punjab organized by PBC on 13th June,2015
First Brevet of with Climbs in Punjab orgnaized by PBC 25th October,2015
First Club to organize two Brevets simultaneously in two cities, in Hoshiarpur as well as Chandigarh on 19th March 2017.
The Ultra Races:
Shivalik Signature Ultra Race got launched on 7th April,2018 and the team is ready to host the sixth Edition of the Ultra Race.
The team has ceated one more Ultra Race i.e. India’s Toughest Ultra race- Romantika Uz Beas. Till date, only one person has been able to finish it.
Kabir Rachure from Navi Mumbai is the only finisher of the Romantika Uz Beas.
5.HOSHIARPUR’s first CYCLOTHON in 2017
HOSHIARPUR’s first CYCLOTHON in 2017 emerged as the major turning point to make people aware about Cycling locally.
6.CFI Road Race at Hoshiarpur in March 2019:
he first Professional Road race by the Cycling Federation Of Punjab at Hoshiarpur in which PBC actively worked together with CFI.
