
Wetlands of Punjab on February 15, 2015, centered around featuring Jalandhar as a vital transport hub and gateway to the Wetlands. The 200BRM expedition aimed to explore historical sites such as Kapurthala, Sultanpur Lodhi, and Dalla, associated with Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Fifth Guru Arjun Dev Ji. The route showcased Punjab’s cultural heritage, hospitality, and prosperity, starting from Adampur’s low-temperature setting to villages offering bamboo handicrafts and Kartarpur known for timber and furniture. Notable landmarks included the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala and the unique Moorish Masjid. The challenging stretch from Sultanpur Lodhi to Harike tested riders’ acumen against easterly winds. The journey from Harike to Jalandhar promised a rewarding experience, with fresh juice stalls and rustic roadside Dhabas dotting the way.
